At Refined Focus Photography, I believe your photography experience should be about more than simply showing up, taking pictures, and receiving a digital gallery. It should feel personal, intentional, and worthy of the memories you're trusting me to preserve.
My mission is to create beautiful, timeless images that capture genuine connection, personality, and the little moments that make each season of life uniquely yours. I take the time to get to know my clients, understand what matters to them, and thoughtfully plan each session around their story.
From our initial consultation to the session itself and the final presentation of your images, every part of the experience is designed with intention. I want you to feel comfortable, cared for, and confident that your photographs are being created and preserved with the same thoughtfulness you put into choosing me.

With a bachelor’s degree in Digital Photography, extensive continuing education, and mentorship from respected photographers such as Katelyn James, I bring both formal education and real-world training to every session.
I have also worked with photography business coach Sarah Petty to build a boutique experience centered around personalized service and intentional image preservation.
I believe beautiful photography is only part of the experience. The planning, connection, guidance, and way your photographs are ultimately preserved matter just as much.

At Refined Focus Photography, your experience begins long before the camera comes out. I believe your photographs should be created with intention, not simply captured and delivered. From our first conversation to the moment your finished artwork is in your hands, I’m there to guide you through every step.
It starts with a conversation. We’ll begin with a phone consultation to talk about what you’re envisioning, what matters most to you, and whether we’re the right fit. We’ll also discuss investment so you know exactly what to expect from the beginning.
Then we plan with purpose. During your in-person consultation, we’ll take the time to thoughtfully plan your session from start to finish. We’ll talk through locations, outfits, the people and moments you want documented, and most importantly, how you envision enjoying your photographs afterward. Whether that means an heirloom album, beautifully finished wall art, or a collection of prints, knowing what you want to preserve allows me to photograph with that final purpose in mind.
Your session is where it all comes together. With a thoughtful plan in place, I can focus on creating authentic images that tell your story while still leaving room for the unexpected moments that make your photographs feel like you.
And the experience doesn’t end when your session does. At your viewing and ordering appointment, we’ll sit down together to see your images for the first time. I’ll help you narrow down your favorites, answer questions, and guide you through choosing the photographs and artwork that best fit your vision.
